But before you close make sure the home doesn't have any hidden problems. Defects are often found in an attic, crawlspace, basement, electrical panel, or on top of the roof. Inspections cost $250-400 for the inspection and customized report with digital photos depending on size and type of foundation. I encourage you to attend the full inspection if possible, or at least an hour for a complete summary. Bring a notepad, camera, your family, and any questions you have.
